Page 323 - "Deals within deals"
GND 323 - Chris recounts to Sarah her trip to visit Dresden & Molly (& Mouse), where she had her memories restored from Jareth's mind-wipe, and bribed Bob to muck with his spell with French smut.
Pika's text:
Hello! what a talky non-page of tying up loose ends. Sorry! Promise things will be a bit more funsies next.
So, to recap:
- Christine has had her memories of the Underground ballroom incident restored, or at least, recounted to her, by Dresden's mind-magic-gifted assistant Molly. Christine has a lot of mixed feelings, being very offended and shook at becoming collateral damage to Jareth's plottings/courtship/freakout (the lady likes her limelight!) and thinking very little of that Fae non-gentleman at the moment, while also still shipping JS because damnit look at you two.
- Some sort of combo of sneaky invisible air spirit Bob and Dresden is indeed responsible for setting off the fire alarm and disrupting the JS make-out that was happening on page 318, at Christine's generalized request for some petty payback. They were not responsible for the Blikkin ambush though.
- Christine was probably, mostly, trolling Jareth on the previous page, or else made a very quick recovery and deliberately took the opportunity after a genuine PTSD-esque freakout faced with his brandished crystal.
Dresden Files continuity notes: apologies if things are a bit fudgy here! I have to keep Molly's power levels vague to minimize spoilers, please be cautious in comment discussions. I know Dresden spends a long time keeping her away from Bob, and I couldn't easily check that is still the case in later books. Anyway.... I'll handwave continuity issues with "it's Building-'verse".
Looking up the Grandes Horizontales/cocottes/demi-mondaines era makes for an interesting wiki walk, by the by....
