Edmund Pevensie Appearances
The Narnia books have been adapted a few times, so there are a few different versions of the character before we get to the one we're definitely talking about.
The first adaptation of the Chronicles of Narnia was the BBC serial The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in 1967, where Edmund was played by Edward McMurray,
In the children television workshop's 1979 animated version of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Edmund was voiced by Simon Adams, and then by Nicholas Barnes in the British version....
,,,Johnathan R Scott played him in the 1988-1990 TV serials...
But most importantly for OUR purposes; the GND Edmund is definitely based on the series of Narnia movies created by Disney starting in 2005. As these movies are way more adventurous, all the characters become a good deal more heroic, Edmund included. He still retains all the guilt and pensiveness that the character carries because of his early mistakes in the series, but that actually just winds up strenghening the character's arc, thanks in large part to the performance by Skandar Keynes.
(Also... this kid is just happens to be a 'brown-haired, brown-eyed, earnest, self-doubting second-best/younger-brother issues-rife woobie type', which a certian GND character tends to swoon over... but he's ALSO the king of his own kingdom, AND has actually defeated another character's mother, so he's less likely to be intimidated... just saying.)
