Jiminy Cricket
A tiny cricket that was selected by the Blue Fairy to serve as the conscience for a wooden puppet she had just animated and turned loose on the world without giving it an internal moral compass. (This reads like the setup to a D&D campaign).
Where is he from?
Jiminy Cricket is an incredibly well-known figure in the Disney lexicon, but his source material is actually adapted from a children's novel from 1883 by an italian writer named Carlo Collodi, and is frankly so completely bonkers that the fact that anyone managed to sucessfully adapt it into anything other than a theme for an EDM festival is insane. We all know the Disney version of the talking cricket, Jiminy, but there are a few other adaptations we can check out here;
