Page 280 - "Wibsy Magic Words"
GND 280 - The Wibsies (Chihiro, Sarah, Jupiter, Chris, Ramona, Lydia, Jessica & Mina) are all enthralled watching Thomas apologize to Edith. Beetlejuice doesnt get it. Padme & Martha Jones aren't there.
Pika's text:
(I think, iirc, that this was inspired by someone's comment when Edith joined the Wibsy club.)
In direct opposition to last page's Hoggle, and to quote Firefly, most of the Wibsy girls are all "...I could stand to hear a little more of that".
(Although arguably, to Erik's credit he did sort of come to that kind of realization/confession/apology in the end. Just about. Several bodies in. Must be a Gothic trope.)
Jessica Jones is feeling uncomfortable because this is veering close to acknowledging emotions so she's just gonna default to anger. Also, for all her huffy sighs and eyerolls she does keep hanging around the club.
Padme really oughta be hearing this too, but 3 generations of Star Wars ladies in-comic is hard to keep straight. And Martha Jones, but she has better things to do, besides not quite fitting in with the club dynamic.
(also there was probably something to be spun out of the Beetlejuice connection re: the rules of ghosts, how they work in that movie vs Crimson Peak, but that required some brushing up on the material....)
