Boba Fett
The greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy
Where is he from?
Boba Fett was designed to be the 'next great Star Wars villain' after Darth Vader, built to evoke a sci-fi version of a lawless gunslinger right out of a Clint Eastwood movie. The character was a massive success and earned a huge fanbase despite never really doing anything particularly great on-screen, which is often held up as an example for just how important design work can be.
While Fett debuted in an animated segent of 1978's Star Wars Holiday Special where he was voiced by Don Francks, his first actual appearance was in 1980's Empire Strikes Back where he was voiced by Jason Wingreen and played by Jeremy Bulloch, and in one sceen by John Morton. Fett apeared again in 1983's Return of the Jedi, where he was performed by stuntman Dickey Beer.
A young Boba Fett appeared in 2002's Attack of the Clones, played by Daniel Logan. Prolific New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison played his father, Jango Fett, and would go on to provide his voice in different media going forward.
